Myrtle Beach Police Department Surveillance Cameras

Myrtle Beach Police Department operates more than 1,200 surveillance cameras across the city, including high volume areas like major intersections, Ocean Boulevard, parks and public spaces.

These high-resolution cameras have helped the Myrtle Beach Police Department solve a number of crimes. More important, having the cameras in place is a safety feature that will deter future criminal behavior.

The cameras are part of the department’s Real Time Crime Unit, which has four members that monitor the cameras and use them to help solve crimes and respond to emergency situations.

Officers can watch the cameras from the police department and check in on their laptops or cellphones while on a call.
